It seems we are all tired of watching everything good in Bulgaria happen slowly and with difficulty while violence goes rampant and unrestricted, pushing aside traditional values. We have become too “modern” to care and to help people in their afflictions. We have our own portion of difficulties. All the while we look at the developed western countries and see them live a better life in a better environment. We all want that. But why don’t we have it? Maybe it is high time that we all realized that the way we live and the way we treat people actually matters! If we have forgotten about respect, understanding, humanity and tollerance, are we to expect these from others? We must stop the epidemic of apathy!
We, the staff of the Helping Hand Foundation, believe that nothing is impossible! We believe it is never too late. If we want to have a future, we must build today.
That is why TODAY we address young people in our town and invite them to join the Youth Volunteer Network of the Foundation. The Network is for anyone who believes that our society needs to change and this change begins with each one of us.
